Miss Ruby Grace

I love this kid! She is the epitome of cuteness! I can remember the very first time I worked with her...probably a couple of years ago. She was my buddy through that entire session, so since then, I've been pretty partial to her. Nothing beats those big brown eyes and that big ol' dimple! :) She was so good for her session and followed my directions to the letter. Oh...and she has given me a new name! My new name is Regansilers...all one word! LOL!

One of the faces of cancer

My friend, Chris...one of the faces of cancer. Most importantly, this is the face of my friend. She has been battling breast cancer for way too long. She has a tremendous spirit that has touched the lives of many and connected her to the friends that love her. Thank you for your friendship, Chris. Thank you for showing me that cancer or no cancer...end or no end...every minute of our friendship has been worth it! I want you to know today that I'm holding you close to my heart. My prayer for you is peace, my friend...I love you.

Cale turns one!

I've been super fortunate to photograph little Cale from the time he was born. I was so excited when he came in for his one-year session! We decided to shoot a studio session since we had shot most all of his other sessions outdoors...and because the weather has been awful! Cale, unfortunately, was not his normal happy self when he came to see me, so we struggled a little with getting very many happy shots. Thankfully he's still adorable even with his serious face on! We thought sure a cake smash would turn it around, but he really wasn't even all that impressed with that either. :( We still managed to get a few really cute shots of him...just not the normal load that we usually do! Happy Birthday, Cale!

Congratulations Abby!

You might remember Abby from a recent post. She came in to have some headshots done for an upcoming dance competition called Talent on Parade. Great news!! Abby's mom let me know that she received Elite Top First, 2nd overall in the novice category and 3rd place in the photogenic category. On top of that, she received an invitation to Nationals! Way to go Abby! Congratulations!!

Baby Isaac

This handsome little man came to see me recently. He's only nine weeks old, but he was so bright-eyed and alert almost the entire time. As you can see, he has the most beautiful big blue eyes around! I enjoyed my session with little Isaac and really enjoyed visiting with his mom, Edie. I can't wait to see you guys again! I think you are gonna have quite the handsome man on your hands, mom! :)

Baby Sophie...so sweet!

Oh Miss Sophie had to be one of the prettiest babies I've had the pleasure of working with! Sophie is the granddaughter of my friends Clyde & Carrie, so I got to see the whole gang for her appointment! There has been a trend lately with my newborns that it takes them about 45 minutes to get settled before we can ever get the first shot...and Sophie kept with the trend. :) Once she got settled, though, we got some really sweet shots of her. Here are a few of my faves from the session...

New look!

You may notice that some things are changing! I'm working on a new look for the blog and website. Bare with me until I can get everything converted over and coherent...because right now it's a bit hodge-podge! The website especially is a bit of a mess but I vow to have it under control asap! With the help of Lisa with www.creativegirldesign.com, I think I have finally found a look I will be satisfied with!

Coker's Custom Woodworks

I had the opportunity to shoot a different sort of session recently. It didn't involve cute little kids or stylish seniors. What it did involve was some AMAZING custom cabinetry. I visited a home where Clint Coker had just worked his magic and had completely remodeled this amazing kitchen. If you are in the market for some custom woodwork...he's your man. Visit his site at www.ccwoodworks.net.
