Cindy | Oologah High School

My husband and I traveled to Oologah for Cindy's session. I was actually very glad to have his help for more than just navigational purposes. This session was rocked with some hurricane force winds...and it took more than just one set of hands to keep everything together! I was a little disappointed not to be able to utilize our beautiful location to it's full potential due to the winds, but we did the best we could and came up with some really cool shots. Cindy was very sweet and fun to work with. Good luck with your senior year, Cindy!

Perspective

Do you ever get so wrapped up in your own life of chaos and frustrations that you don't bother to be thankful for what is around you? I try very hard to be thankful most days, but honestly, there are some days I have a hard time. The past couple of days have been that way for me.

I came home this evening and found a blog post by a very talented online photographer friend named Jane Bingham. Take a few minutes to read her blog. She had posted a very special message to another dear friend, who also happens to be a photographer, named Chris. Both of these ladies are cancer survivors. And while I don't presently know Jane's status with her cancer, my friend Chris is really struggling.

Jane posted a very important and special message on her blog for Chris. I'll be honest, it made me cry. It made me think of my friend, Chris. And it made me remember what's important...not how busy or messed up my day has been.

Thank you, Chris, for being my friend. Thank you for being the funny, sarcastic, caring, always interested in others, person that you are. You know the road our friendship has traveled...and it's been a special one to me. :)

Thank you, Jane, for being such a talented photographer and for having just the right words to send just the right message.

Thank you for my perspective today.

The Windler Family

For one of the few days it was actually sunny a week ago...I had the pleasure of shooting the Windler family session. Steven and Amy were really nice and they had two of the biggest, prettiest Labs...Gauge and Zoey. The pups were pretty wound up from the drive down to Bristow, but after we let them run it out, they did really well for most of the session. By the time we got to the end of the session, however, Zoey (the white one), snubbed me a bit. She decided to close her eyes on almost every shot! It was hilarious! It was like she was being a diva and she was done! Here are a few from the session:

Kaylen | Bristow High School

Finally! The clouds parted and we had some beautiful weather to shoot Kaylen's senior session. Kaylen and her mom were a lot of fun. I always seem to mention the crazy locations we end up...and we did yet again. I managed to drive a nail all the way through my shoe! We started out in-studio and then ended up at her grandpa's place, which was beautiful! It was tough to select favorites, so here are just a few from her session.

Paige | Bristow High School

Two reschedules and a super cloudy/misty session day later...Paige rocked her senior session! Paige and I were dying to get this session shot, and mother nature had other ideas for us. We went to some cool locations. Paige actually went some places I didn't even want to go! I had a great time with Paige and her mom. Good luck with your senior year, Paige!

The Shaffer Family

You know I have thought long and hard for an adjective to describe this family, and frankly, all I can come up with is that they are a big ol' mess...in a good way, of course! :)

I had the pleasure of shooting Sam's senior session back during the summer. I had the best time with her and her mom. So for this session we got the whole family in on it! This is an ornery bunch, I will assure you, but they are always so much fun!

I'm still here...I swear!

OK...so those of you who have had sessions in recent days realize there have been no sneak-peeks posted on the blog or Facebook. I apologize and hope to get caught up this week. Between getting moved into the studio, fall break, two sick kiddos and the busy fall shooting season...well, the blog and Facebook have been a bit neglected. Hang in there with me!! Blog and Facebook posts to come...I promise!!

Big changes ahead!

Exciting news...I have finally moved into a new studio space as of a couple of weeks ago! I am now located at 221 East 7th in Bristow in the upper level of the Corwin Building. I will be there by appointment only.

Being in the new space will allow me to offer more to my clients...which is always my goal! Stay tuned...as soon as I get things a little more together, I will be posting some pictures of my new diggs. :)

Whitney | Prague High School

I met up with Whitney and her mom a couple of weeks ago to shoot Whitney's senior session. I had a lot of fun with Whitney because she actually had some modeling experience. Whitney was a ton of spunk wrapped up in a little package! We visited some cool places and got eaten alive by some gigantic mosquitoes! Take a look at a few of her cool shots...

Quila | Bristow High School

I had the pleasure of shooting Quila's senior session a couple of weeks ago. It was quite the adventure! We battled the clouds and gloom, almost stepped on a snake and I had Quila hanging out in some crazy places! I thing one of the things that impressed me most is that Quila was able to bust out a toe-touch on a dirt road, in her bare feet, wearing jeans...at a moment's notice! LOL! I suppose being a cheerleader and being flexible allows you to do these kinds of things! Best of luck with your senior year, Quila!
